3 Reasons You Should Sign Up for My Newsletter
#1 — Because this is a listicle.
Don’t you want one more e-mail in your inbox?
That’s right. I’m starting a monthly newsletter and I hope you’d love to sign up for it! If you’re on the fence, here are 3 reasons why you should:
#1 — Because this is a listicle.
Listicles are annoying but effective. Are there probably more than 3 reasons you should sign up for my newsletter? Definitely. But is 3 a nice and easy number? Yes.
What do listicles have to do with it?
Listicles are a way to be organized and our brains usually like that. My newsletter will also be organized and easy to read. I won’t bombard you with 50 things to read.
#2 — I don’t want you to miss anything!
I publish about 3–5 times a week. I post my pieces on social media, and, if you follow me on Medium, you might see my writing pop up. But algorithms are tricky.
While I’m not going to include everything I write, I plan to share the following:
- My most popular piece(s)
- My least popular piece(s) (because algorithms)
- Other Medium articles I enjoy
- Non-Medium pieces I like
I tend to read and write about the following: Self-Improvement, Psychology, Social Justice/Politics, Relationships, Lifestyle, and Writing.
I’m still finalizing the format but this is a general idea.
#3 — I want to share my failures.
Aside from sharing various pieces, I also want to share the struggles I have with writing or other parts of life. I believe vulnerability is essential to human connection. I try to express this in the pieces I write but I also want to share it directly with you.
I don’t have many regrets in life. This is because I see life as a process. This is why I write on Medium. As much as I would love to write a book one day or be published in a reputable publication, I know that it’s not the goal that gets me there, it’s the process. And the process might take me somewhere else. So why not talk about it?
